Wilderness National Park

The Wilderness National Park with its rivers, lakes, beaches and forests forms part of the Garden Route National Park. The indigenous forest is home to some historical sites and also the old mining town of Goudvlei.

Bordering the Goukamma Nature Reserve, this area is rich in fauna and flora, which includes the Knysna Loerie and no less than five kingfisher species.

Canoe or boat cruises available on the estuary and through the dense forests on the Touw and Serpentine rivers, island lake great for picnic or lunch when spending the day on the water.  Numerous hiking trails and mountain biking trails, or just relax and spend the day on one of the many gorgeous beaches.
