The Karoo National Park is located near the town of Beaufort West, in the semi-desert area of the Great Karoo covering an area of 750 square kilometers.
Positioned not far from the rest camp, you will find The Old Schuur Interpretive Centre. This old farm building was renovated to reflect its original form which dates back to the 1800’s. The centre has some historical displays and offers information on the ecological and cultural history of the area.
Day visitors are allowed with picnic and braai facilities available at the Bulkraal and Doornhoek picnic sites.
Self drive game viewing can be done with more than 60km roads accessible, and some additional 4×4 Eco-Trails for the off road enthusiast to take advantage of.
