Garden Route National Park

The Garden Route National Park is located in the Western Cape and Eastern Cape Provinces of South Africa, between George and Port Elizabeth. This coastal reserve is known for its mountain catchments, indigenous forests and magnificent coastline considered one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world.

This area spans an impressive 121 000 hectares and includes the Knysna National Lake Area, Tsitsikamma National Park, Wilderness National Park and various other state owned areas.

Whatever the adventure is you are looking for, you are sure to find it in the Garden Route National Park. With an abundance for hiking trails, mountain biking and kayaking – eager and enthusiastic adventurers will have a blast.

The Knysna Estuary is home to the rare and endangered Knysna Seahorse, which is also found in small numbers in the Keurbooms River and Swartvlei system in Sedgefield.

Bungee from the highest bridge bungee in the world, or go take a walk over the breathtakingly beautiful suspension bridge over the Storms River mouth. Great surfing at Plettenberg Bay, Buffels Bay and Victoria Bay. River tubing or plentiful hikes in the Storms River gorge and throughout the area.
