The Camdeboo National Park is located in the unique landscape and scenic beauty of the Karoo, almost completely surrounding the town of Graaff-Reinet.
The main tourist attraction being the spectacular Valley of Desolation, also known as the “Cathedral of the Mountains”. Pillars rising up to heights of 120m were formed by erosion and volcanic forces over a period of hundreds of millions of years.
In both the eastern and western sections of the park there are numerous 4×4 trails, hiking trails, mountain biking and fishing can also be done at Nqweba Dam.
