Africa with its beautiful and spectacular scenery is a great destination if you love hiking and trekking. Hiking is a loved and a favourite pastime for tourists and locals alike, there is an enormous and vast amount of hiking trails and routes located throughout the continent. Ranging for easy family day routes to multi day trekking for the more adventurous and avid hikers.

One of the most famous would have to be reaching Africa’s highest peak standing at 5895m, Mount Kilimanjaro. Various routes are in place to cater for amateurs as well as the more challenging routes for the more experienced hiker.

Africa with its lush forests, spectacular mountain ranges and pristine beaches you are never too far from magnificent landscapes and some of the best hiking trails. There are many wildlife and game reserves which also offer hiking routes, usually done with a guide as wild and dangerous animals roam free in some of these parks.
